P.R.I.D.E.

P.R.I.D.E. stands for Proud Rangers Inspire a Drug-Free Environment. P.R.I.D.E. is a group of Spencerport student-athletes who pledge to be chemically free (no drugs or alcohol) during their entire sports season participation. P.R.I.D.E members are involved with friends and peers who will give you support to be able to say “NO” to drug use. Sometimes it’s tough to say “NO” when your friends put the pressure on. P.R.I.D.E. members are committed to helping you say “NO” to drugs through positive peer pressure, being there for support, and being involved in fun activities.

P.R.I.D.E. members have fun running the annual Hoops for Heart Basketball Tournament (American Heart Association). We have assisted with Varsity Club in promoting the Spencerport Zoo Crew. We have established a big brother/big sister PRIDE PALS program in all of the elementary schools. This spring we will again do the relay for life and also attend a Knighthawks game.
