  1. When is graduation?

              a.  Graduation is Friday, June 26, 2020, at 7:00 p.m.

     2.   Where is graduation?

              a.  Graduation is held at the:  SERC at Brockport College,
                    350 New Campus Drive, Brockport NY, 14420      

3.       When is graduation rehearsal and is it mandatory?

a.       Graduation rehearsal is Wednesday, June 24, 2020.  There is a senior breakfast that is served at 8:00 a.m. in the West Café.  Seniors must be at the school no later than 9:15 a.m.  The buses will depart from the high school at 9:30 a.m. and return no later than 12:30 p.m.  All seniors MUST ride the bus to rehearsal if they want to participate in the ceremony.  All Seniors will be responsible for their own transportation home from the high school following rehearsal.

4.       My son/daughter has a prior commitment on the date of rehearsal.   Can they be excused?

a.       NO.  All seniors must attend rehearsal in order to participate in graduation.  A packet will be sent out in March with all dates so that students could plan accordingly.

5.        When does my son/daughter pick up their cap and gown?

a.       Cap and gown pick up is Thursday, June 18, 2020, in room 5 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m, and must be done by the student.  At this time, students may also return their parking tag, pay any final bills and pick up their NHS cowl and honor cords.


6.       How many tickets will we be receiving for graduation and when will we get them?

a.       No tickets will be needed for this year's graduation ceremony.  


7.       What time should my senior arrive to the SERC?

a.       The SERC will open at 5:45 p.m. for graduates only.  Graduates are required to arrive at the SERC no later than 6:15 p.m.  Doors open for guests at 6:00 p.m.


8.       Is there mobility impaired seating available?

a.       Yes.  Anyone in need of mobility impaired seating may enter with one other guest.  The handicapped entrance is located near the main entrance of the SERC and will open at 5:30 p.m.  Please call Mrs. Hill at 349-5210 to reserve seating.

9.       Where should we park?

a.       Parking is available in lots V and V-1.

10.   Will the ceremony be recorded?  How can I get a copy?

a.       A DVD is available for purchase which includes both the ceremony as well as highlights from the senior year.  DVD purchasing information is included in the packet that is sent home to each senior’s family.  These may be purchased in the bookstore for $10.00 from
May 18, 2020 – June 5, 2020. The DVD can be picked up from the high school main office on Monday, August 24, 2020.

11.   Will there be any type of meeting regarding graduation? 

a.       Yes.  There will be a parent graduation meeting on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.  Students are welcome to come.

12.   Can I order a picture of my son/daughter receiving their diploma?

a.       Yes.  The photographers that will be taking photographs will be MCA Studios. All questions regarding this service should be directed to MCA Studios at 617-3126.

13.   How does my son/daughter order their cap & gown?

a.       Jostens will be at the school on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, to distribute order forms at 7:15 a.m. in the East Gym.  They will then return on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, and Wednesday, March 25, 2020, during all three lunches in front of the East Café to take orders.  The cost will be $36.50 which includes tax.  If you need to contact Jostens, their phone number is 585-377-4778.

14.   What is the Senior Parade?

a.       The Senior Parade is a tradition in Spencerport where the seniors parade wearing their cap and gown down the hallways of the elementary school that they attended.  During the last week of school, students will have the opportunity to sign up to participate in a parade that will take place on Friday, June 19, 2020.  Students would sign up according to where they attended elementary school in Spencerport.  If they did not attend elementary school in our district, they could choose any elementary school they would like.  They would then meet at the High School on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 12:45 p.m. where buses will take them to the appropriate school.  Elementary students and teachers will be lining the hallways as our students parade through the school.  We will have announcements read and posted as the event gets closer.
